BMW Ghost Immobiliser
The Ghost uses the CAN data bus for communication with your vehicle. This prevents thieves from putting in a new key or even replacing the ECU to get around your security system because it requires a valid PIN code to start the engine.
In contrast to other immobilisers, The Ghost is different from other immobilisers. Ghost doesn't use LED indications or key-fobs. Instead, it uses the buttons in your vehicle to allow you to enter a unique disarm sequence that only you know.
Stop & Start
If you've ever driven a new BMW or utilized the stop start feature then you may have noticed that when you stop the engine the engine continues to run for about 30 seconds after you release the brake pedal. The BMW engine management system continues to watch the vehicle for a signal emanating from the ignition key. If it detects this, the vehicle will continue to operate. The Autowatch 2 Ghost immobiliser prevents this from happening by stopping the car every time you push a button sequence.
Our BMW ghost immobiliser, a next-generation device, doesn't require you to cut OEM wires or install key fobs or alarms from the aftermarket. It is connected to the BMW CAN data network and is programmed with an unique PIN code which is accessible via buttons in your car. This lets you enter the key sequences which aren't available in the normal menus for media. For example volume up/down, source, air conditioning, cruise control, etc. The PIN could be between 4 and 20 numbers, so it is extremely difficult for thieves to determine or crack.
In addition, we can also add a service or valet mode to the system. This is activated when your vehicle is scheduled for maintenance so that the Ghost remains hidden from the garage. This can be done by pressing the service button on your infotainment system 5 times (the system will flash to confirm this) and when you return the Ghost will automatically re-arm.

Service Mode / Valet Mode
The Ghost is the leading immobiliser on the market. It prevents your vehicle from being stolen by hacking or key cloning. It works by utilizing the factory buttons on your vehicle to create a unique sequence of pushes which only you can recognize, similar to as the pin code security of your mobile phone. It's discreet, incredibly effective and deters even the most obstinate thieves!
When parked at home or in a meet and greet situation when you are at a meet and greet, the Ghost can be switched into service mode. This allows you to start your vehicle using your keys normally, but prevents the engine from being started until the correct code is entered. This is ideal for customers who must transfer their vehicles to valet service companies or trusted family members and friends. It also lets you bring the vehicle into the garage for repairs, maintenance etc without having to worry about it getting taken away or altered by a mechanic while you are waiting.
Once the valet or service mode is enabled, it will block your BMW from being able to drive after it has been started. This prevents anyone from testing it whilst you are away. After you return, it will be back to normal driving, stopping your car from being tampered with or stolen again.
We can install the Ghost to any BMW, all you need is the correct keys as the device does not use the original remotes, and can be used alongside them. Anti-Hijack
With high-tech thieves becoming more and more sophisticated, the security technology has to improve, which is why Ghost has created this discrete and discreet immobiliser. It is designed to stop thieves from using a brand new key or replacing the ECU in order to start your car and drive it away. Ghost is connected to your CAN network, and uses buttons on your vehicle to create an individual push-sequence that has to be entered before your engine can begin.
When the anti-hijacking feature is activated and the engine is restarted, any attempt to restart the engine will be thwarted. The system will sharpen the horn and flash the indicators. It will also stall the vehicle when the code isn't found. The Anti-Hijack feature can be disabled by entering your push sequence, or by enabling service mode, which allows your vehicle to temporarily start and drive without having to enter your PIN.
If you own an GPS device that is connected to your BMW, you can use it to disable the Anti-Hijack function so that you can continue to navigate using your navigation system even when the vehicle is stationary. You can also use your smart-phone to control the anti theft feature and other functions.

We can connect your Ghost device to your mobile app to allow remote control of keyless start and go functionality. The system lets you start your car by selecting drive, then leave the service mode without having to use your key fobs. You can also see your vehicle in real time on a map on your smartphone, which is ideal for tracking your car whilst in motion.
The Ghost can be fitted under the dashboard or within the center console. It is completely secure and untouchable and does not require any additional wiring. The device is connected to the vehicle's CAN Data Network (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a unique PIN code is programmed into it. The pin code has to be chosen before the vehicle is started. This stops thieves from using a cloned key or replacing the ECU to disable this system.
If the vehicle is stolen and the Ghost will enter a service mode that disables all functions until the PIN code is entered, or you can make use of the mobile app to disarm it. This is a feature that was developed to safeguard your vehicle from high-tech thieves who are now utilising relay boxes to steal your vehicle.
